Dinner & Theatre – “The Alto’s” (like the Soprano’s only lower)

An Interactive Musical Comedy Mystery Spoof of the famous HBO series. Meet the
family that inspired it all, the Altos. It’s Tony’s funeral (Or is it?) and his
wife Toffee has invited you to the wake. Chris wants you should check your
weapons at the door (and if you don’t have any, he’s got extras!) Uncle Senior
has a rigged dice game going and Tony’s Ma is – well just nuts. Tony’s shrink
Dr. Malaise is giving free analysis and the Father isn’t sure what he is doing!
But one thing is for sure, almost no one seems sad that Tony is gone and they
certainly done seem happy once he’s discovered alive. Be prepared to dodge
bullets, laugh at the songs and see if you can’t figure out who put a contract
out on Tony!

Show Dates- October 28 & 29 and Nov. 3, 4 & 5

Shows on October 29, 3 & 5 – $15 per person for play only. Doors open at 7pm and show starts at 7:30pm

Dinner Shows – October 28 & 4 – Doors & Dinner start at 6:30pm, $28 per person includesdinner and play. Dinner includes: Italian Salad, Seasoned Bread-sticks, Pasta

Kathy Daly-Bond and Daughters bring a family focus to the line-up

Cheryl Kirking is a talented singer and story teller with a dose of humor

Margot Peters and Steve Bower represent the Arts Alliance Board as they read poetry

The finale–as always–is the audience sing-a-long accompanied by Linda Disch

The time is 7 PM sharp.The venue is our own Fargo Library.

Murder at Cafe Noir

The Renaissance Theatre in Lake Mills will be hosting Penguin Productions doing the hilarious murder mystery Murder at Cafe Noir on October 15, 16, 22 & 23 at 7:30. Lake Mill’s restaurant Carp’s Landing, is offering a special Café Noir menu each night and will have patrons to the theater on time for the opening curtain.

Menu choices include Tobago Cay Half Rack of BBQ Ribs & Tempura Shrimp, Maria LaRue’s Chicken Florentine Pasta, Thursby’s Bacon Wrapped Pork Loin and Rick Archer Ribeye. Reservations are a must, call 920.648.3005 and tell them you want to order from the Café Noir menu.

Murder at Cafe Noir is one of the most popular murder mystery shows in the country and has had weekly productions coast to coast since its premiere in 1989. It is a stylized forties detective story featuring Rick Archer (played by Seth Habhegger), P.I. Rick is out to find a curvaceous runaway on the forgotten island of Mustique, a place stuck in a black and white era. The owner of the Cafe Noir has washed ashore, murdered, and Rick’s employs his hard boiled talents to find the killer. Was it the French madame and club manager (Heather Tongue), the voodoo priestess (Ann Penfield Grover), the shyster British attorney (Matt Emerson), the black marketeer (Jay Deppe) or the femme fatale (Beth Rohn Habhegger)? The audience votes on what they want Rick to do next and these decisions change the flow of this comic tribute to the Bogart era. Can you guess who the murderer is?
