The Lake Mills Main Street Program Farmers’ Market will feature a seasonal cooking demo on Wednesday, August 11 at 6:00 pm. The demonstration will be in the gazebo in Common’s Park. Chef Greg Carpenter, owner of Carp’s Landing in Lake Mills will be the featured presenter.
Originally from Lake Mills, Carpenter has worked in the restaurant business for over 25 years, locally and in many other areas of the US. Known for his in-house smoked items at Carp’s Landing, Carpenter brings the flavors of Arizona, Hawaii, Colorado, Florida and Alaska to his dishes.
The Farmers’ Market features a cooking demonstration the second Wednesday of each month (weather permitting) at 6:00 pm through the end of the market in October. The next market, on August 18, will feature booths for nonprofit businesses and organizations. Any one wishing to participate in that market should contact the Main Street office.
Every Wednesday from 2 pm until dusk Commons Park in downtown Lake Mills comes alive with fresh, local produce, baked goods, crafts and more.
